Rambling from Ole Ma....

As the vibrant hues of spring paint the landscape and the air hums with the promise of growth, our farm comes alive in an explosion of activity. This time of year, as visitors begin to trickle in, this Ole Ma finds herself reflecting on the profound blessings that each season brings and the unique opportunities it affords us to connect with others and nurture the next generation.

Today, as we prepared to welcome a homeschool tour to our farm, I'm reminded once again of the sheer joy of having children here, interacting with the animals and brimming with curiosity. There's something inherently special about witnessing the wide-eyed wonder and curiosity of those young minds as they learn firsthand where their food comes from. As they pet our sweet cows or giggle at the chickens antics and , a sense of connection  is fostered—a connection that we believe is essential for fostering a deeper appreciation for the food on their plates.

But our commitment to education doesn't end there. We're thrilled to announce an upcoming butcher class, where participants will have the rare opportunity to witness the slaughter and butchery too. While this may seem daunting to some, we see it as a vital part of our mission to empower others to take control of their food supply. By demystifying the process and instilling confidence in the art of butchery, we hope to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed choices about the food they consume.

Indeed, at the heart of everything we do here on the farm is a steadfast belief in the importance of helping others reclaim agency over their food supply. Whether through educational tours, hands-on workshops, or simply fostering a sense of community, we are committed to empowering individuals to become stewards of their own sustenance.

As the seasons shift and the rhythms of farm life ebb and flow, we are filled to overflow with gratitude for the opportunities we have to connect, educate, and inspire. In a world that often feels increasingly disconnected from the sources of our sustenance, the farm stands as a beacon of hope—a place where seeds of knowledge are sown, and the harvest is one of understanding, appreciation, and empowerment.
